Environment

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_DB

    Path to the SQLite database file (default: ~/Library/Application Support/mcp-dns-insights/dns.db)

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_HOME

    Data directory (overrides the default location for the database and other data)

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_IFACE

    Network interface to capture on (default: any)

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_FILTER

    BPF filter for tcpdump (default: udp port 53 or tcp port 53)

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_TCPDUMP

    Path to tcpdump binary (default: tcpdump)

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_FLUSH_BATCH

    Number of queries to accumulate before flushing (default: 100)

  • MCP_DNS_INSIGHTS_FLUSH_INTERVAL

    Interval in seconds to flush captured queries to the database (default: 2.0)
